Fun Sunday

Here are some fun videos from today.
Addison surprised me when she pointed out Abby's "butt". That was a new word to my ears! She makes us laugh each and every day.

Here is Addison watching cheerleading on tv. She was hillarious shaking her pompom this afternoon and doing kicks all around the house. She even attempted a somersault now and then... YIKES!!

Fun Times

We enjoyed a fun time last night with Bobby, Kelly and adorable Taylor. She and Addison had lots of fun playing. Can't believe Taylor will be a year old in less than a month! Where has time gone?

Addison and Taylor couldn't give eachother enough hugs and kisses. They are great friends already!

Enjoying Aunt Kelly's delicious brownie dessert!

Yum! Is there anything better than staying up late to eat dessert and play?

Our Old Stompin' Grounds

We had a very nice surprise when my Dad was contacted by Sarasota Babe Ruth to throw out the first pitch at their opening ceremonies today in honor of Grandpa (Nick) Lucas. So we ventured out to our old stompin' grounds, where we spent so many years. It sure looks different than it did when Aaron played out there 10 years ago! It was such a nice ceremony. They welcomed all the teams out onto the field and acknowledged the clubhouse with Grandpa's name on it. They mentioned many of the wonderful things Grandpa did for Babe Ruth and wanted to make sure all the kids knew what a great man he was. I could feel Grandpa smiling down from Heaven.
After they talked about my Dad's involvement in Babe Ruth (years past and current), they talked about Aaron's days as a player at Babe Ruth and at FSU as a catcher. As Dad walked out to the pitcher's mound to throw the ceremonial first pitch, he warned the catcher to watch out! I heard a few hecklers from the crowd telling the catcher to watch for the bounce! Dad got ready and FIRED the ball in to the catcher... and I'm not kidding! There was some heat on that ball!! We were so proud and know that Grandpa was too. I feel so lucky that Addison has a Great Grandfather, Grandfather, and Father who have done so much for so many. She has many honorable people to look up to. Enjoy your Saturday- ours has been a memorable one so far!
Addison enjoyed playing with her baseball before we went on the field.

Fun on Friday!

Today we went to the beach with Addison's friend Melanie. We had a great time. The water is getting a little warmer each time... but it's still CHILLY!

The water was so clear and pretty today!

BASEBALL!

Addison enjoyed attending her 2nd and 3rd baseball games! The 1st game we took her to was in Illinois when she was 8 months old (she slept through the whole thing). So these games were more exciting for her.
The first game was Friday night. My 2nd cousin, Tyler plays for State College of Florida (formerly MCC). SCF won by the 10 run rule! Addison was excited to see there was dirt to play in. She requested to "dig dig dig" so we got her a shovel and truck from the car.
Addison decided Mommy's purse was a comfy seat to sit and eat a snack!

Some fruit before sharing a hot dog with Mommy.
After the game, Addison found a ball that she couldn't quite get to.

Saturday morning, we went to watch 2nd cousins, Luke and Caleb play. They are on the YANKEES! Perfect since there are many Yankee fans in our family!

Addison found more dirt and rocks to play with while watching the game.

Congrats to Luke and Caleb for playing a GREAT game!
Addison waited patiently for a hug.
YAY! Hugs from Caleb.
