Happy Halloween!

Here are a few pictures. It was difficult taking these, because Aaron was at work and Addison was getting sleepy. She had a hard time staying upright in the chair. We are adjusting well but have had a few bumps in the road. Addison has a rash on her face and neck (which doesn't seem to bother her, but bothers us because it looks so red and bumpy), possible reflux, and a heart murmur. We go back to her pediatrician on Monday for her 4 week check up and then to the cardiologist on Thursday at All Children's in St. Pete. We might take her to a dermatologist next week if her skin doesn't improve. Other than that, we really can't complain! She wakes up every 3-4 hours during the night and goes back to sleep without much trouble. She's been a great baby and so much fun. We hope you have a Happy Halloween!

Caught Sleeping

Addison was 3 weeks old yesterday! Time sure does fly by! She is doing great- she has gained just shy of 1 pound per week. She left the hospital at 6lbs 5.5 oz and now weighs 8lbs. 7 oz!! Here are some pictures of Addison taking a nap with Mommy, Daddy, and Papa. I will post some other pictures soon, I promise... just wanted to get a few up here. Sorry I've been slacking!

Weekend Update

For those of you wondering, no baby yet. You'd think after watching our exciting football game yesterday against Miami that I would be in labor right now, but no such luck. We'll just wait for our appointment tomorrow and see what the doctor says. He could wait until the beginning of next week to do anything which would be miserable for us to wait one more week, but I guess we have to trust his judgement and be patient. I still feel fine. I've been having more contractions but nothing real painful or consistent.
Isabella is now doing Cheerleading! Aunt LaLa (as she calls me) is so happy! I just can't wait until I can go watch! Here are a few pictures from one of her practices and a video clip. She is getting so big and is anxious for the arrival of her cousin as much as we are. She asked Amy the other day if Addison was "ready to come out of LaLa's skin yet". Too cute :-)

Progress?!

Not much new at our dr's appointment today. Aaron had a benefits fair at USF so my Mom got to come with me. Dr. Hoertz said Addison's head is still high, but he was able to push it today during the exam. He said he could push up on it and it would come back down. He said again as he always does, that some babies don't drop until labor begins, so I guess there is still hope. We will go back on Monday, unless of course we've had her before then. Then back to testing on Tuesday. Addison sure is making us do a lot of driving back and forth to appointments! He will reevaluate things next week to see what's going on. He said he won't induce unless her head is down further. He didn't say how long he would let me go, but I would imagine by the end of next week we'd be in the hospital either being induced or scheduled for a c-section. I still feel great- we're just anxious to meet her and I'm very impatient! Keep praying that she comes sometime this weekend! We're ready!

Due Date Today... but no Addison yet

Happy October 1st! Today is Addison's due date, but there are no signs that she's ready to meet us. We went to the doctor on Monday and he said I am still 1 cm dilated, 60% effaced, my cervix is beginning to tilt, but her head is still up pretty high. He said if he induced now, it wouldn't be successful (would result in a Csection) because her head is still high. So, yesterday we went to the hospital for our weekly testing, and everything still looks great! She's still swimming in lots of amniotic fluid and her heart rate is great. I even had 1 contraction while I was hooked up to the monitors. Maybe my sporadic contractions will help move her down. I will go back to the Dr. tomorrow to see if there has been any progress. Then maybe he'll give me a better idea of what the plan is, but maybe not. His nurse said he usually doesn't let his patients go more than 1 week past their due date, but who knows. Knowing my luck- I'll be the exception and he'll let me go 2 weeks past! ha! Dr. Hoertz and the hospital nurses have said she's doing great- very healthy and obviously happy in there, so I guess we shouldn't worry... as long as she doesn't grow to 9 pounds! YIKES!!
Here are some pictures we took over the weekend. I'm definitely feeling as big as a house! Thanks for all your prayers and thoughts... soon we'll be able to post some pictures of our baby girl!!Aaron and I went on a "date night" on Friday thinking it might be our last for a while. We keep thinking it'll be our last weekend as just the 2 of us, but that never seems to happen!

Took these at my Mom and Dad's house on Saturday.
