Addison

We recieved this beautiful embroidered burp cloth from friends of ours, Brad and Amanda who have an adorable 3 month old baby, Brody in Mississippi. This is Addison's first personalized gift and we just LOVE how her name looks on it :)
This is Addison's highchair from her Great Grandpa Jack. We put it together and it's all ready for her- even though she won't use it right away. It matches very nicely with the decor of our home.

Nursery Progress~ 23 weeks!

Here are a few pictures of Addison's nursery. My Dad painted on Wednesday. Today he and Aaron picked up the chair. I know it's hard to tell much from the pictures, but at least you can see a little bit of progress! The dresser and crib will still be a few weeks. We're really happy with the chair. We wanted something that we could eventually move into a different room of the house and use again- maybe in Aaron's office. The furniture we ordered is similar in color to the chair- it's called espresso. So you can see why we went with a light paint color on the wall! I've also included a picture that Aaron took of my belly last night... and included one from 12 weeks so you could have something to compare it to :)
Here is a link to the Sarasota Herald Tribune where the yoga class I am in was featured. It was in the Living section on Tuesday. Hopefully the links will work. I've posted a link to the article and one to the pictures.

June 1st!

Addison's Bedding

How is it June 1st already? Boy time is flying by! We are in our 23rd week now and Addison is making her presence known quite often. She's been moving around a lot lately which is such a wonderful feeling. For those of you who haven't heard, we decided on Addison Claire. That name just seems to fit us and we love it. Claire was my grandmother's name and we just fell in love with the name Addison. We will call her Addison. It's so nice to be able to call her by name now!

I knew it was time to post new pictures, but please excuse the one- Aaron and I had just gone on a walk and it was very warm outside! The bottom 2 pictures are of Addison's bedding. We're so excited to start on her nursery! My Dad is going to paint her room on Wednesday and we pick up the leather LazyBoy chair on Thursday. The dresser and crib will still be a few more weeks, but at least we're making progress! I'll take before/after pictures of the paint and all the fun steps along the way so you can see how it's coming along.

If you haven't noticed, we created a song playlist for our blog. There are a few songs that remind us how excited we are for our baby girl to arrive. Especially the first one by George Strait. The one by Carrie Underwood is a great one too. I'm trying to add one by Rodney Atkins. If I can figure out how to add it to the playlist, you have to take the time to listen to it, because Aaron says it's his song for when Addison gets older and begins dating :) It's really cute.

Our next Dr. appointment is Tuesday June 10th. Keep checking for updates!

Our Weekend

Aaron and I spent our weekend in Jacksonville at a wedding for friends of ours, Jen and Christian. We had a wonderful time and the wedding was beautiful. I was Jen's matron of honor- luckily my dress zipped (I was very worried) and I was able to wear it during the ceremony and until the wedding party was introduced at the reception. Then I changed into a more comfortable fitting dress that I could breathe in. Funny that when I tried my dress on a few months ago I thought I had PLENTY of room, but as the months went by the dress got tighter and tighter! Jen was so understanding and I was honored to be a part of her special day. I'm hoping to post some new "bump" pictures this week. Tomorrow we will be 22 weeks! How the time is flying by!

It's a GIRL!!!!

We are so happy to share the news that our baby is a healthy growing GIRL! Her proud Mommy and Daddy enjoyed watching her and were joined by her Grandma and Papa Lucas (my parents) and Grandma Cheesman (Aaron's Mom). She was waving her arms around throughout the entire ultrasound which made it difficult to get a good picture of her cute little face. And the ultrasound tech said she kept burrowing in my organs (she was facing my spine). In all the other pictures it looks like she's peeking through a hole. I'm pretty sure the blob at the back of her head is some part of my organs because when they measured her head it was nicely shaped- not like it appears. She was sitting right on my bladder which was lovely because they wouldn't let me go to the restroom until AFTER the ultrasound. You can see her hand resting against her cheek. We are so excited :) Keep her in your prayers as she continues to grow!
