Addison Claire

Today was Addison's 15 month well visit. She was a champ through 3 vaccinations- in fact when we went to Target afterwards, people kept commenting on how happy and friendly she was. When I mentioned she had 3 shots, they were shocked!
Our fun little girl weighs 23.11 lbs (60th percentile) and is 30 inches tall (55th percentile)! The doctor and nurses were thrilled with how well she's doing.
She sure is happy and healthy and we are so thankful for that.
With Grammie and Papa- visiting Great Grandma Lucas.
Addison visited with Great Grandma while she ate her dinner.
She tried to share Great Grandma's food, but we reminded her she had her own snack!
Addison was a little skeptical of the lift chair.
Even with Papa!
Ready to go to Grammie and Papa's for dinner while Mommy and Daddy have date night!
Bye Bye! Have fun!
Before dinner on Sunday at Grandma Kerry and Grandpa Barry's.

15 months old

I am keeping my Mommy and Daddy on their toes and laughing at all times these days. They are amazed by how much I change each day. I'm getting faster with my walking and running. One of my favorite things to do is climb and sit on things. I continue to try new words, use new signs, and follow directions (most of the time). I enjoy sitting on the potty before my bath (just for fun) and make the "s" sound like I'm going potty. I am very interested in letters and sometimes act like I'm reading them when I see something written. More teeth are coming in! I now have 2 front top teeth, and 2 front bottom teeth and molars! I love looking at the pictures Mommy saved from the beautiful Christmas cards we received. I practice identifying and sometimes naming the people I see. I enjoy talking on the telephone and get very angry if I don't get my turn to talk when Mommy is on the phone. Mommy and Daddy are impressed when I answer their questions by shaking my head yes or no. I am pretty good at nonverbal conversations now!!
Here are some pictures from the past few days. I am feeling better as each day passes. On Wednesday at the doctor we found out I have a right ear infection (a side effect of RSV) so I have an antibiotic for that, and he was worried about my breathing and chest congestion so I have an oral steroid for that. I'm still doing my breathing treatments 4 times a day. We go back for another recheck on Monday. Since my new medicine on Wednesday, I've been very hungry and thirsty all the time. So I have been eating a LOT and snacking a LOT! I've gotten very good at helping Mommy get my water, milk, and juice from the fridge once she opens it.
Hope you enjoy the pictures and keep warm!
I love my cousin, Isabella.
Showing Aunt Amy the fish.
Eating a peanut butter sandwich for a snack.
I was so hungry I ate it while sitting on the counter before Mommy could get me in my chair!
YUM YUM
My hair is getting longer!
My pigtails from the back.
SITTING on my Magna Doodle!

Talking on the phone to Daddy.
SITTING on a big box!
I still get rosy cheeks at night from being sick.
Showing Mommy my teeth.

Eating snack.
My teeth again- you can kind of see my molars in the back.
I want the camera, please!!

Happy 2010!

We welcomed in the New Year staying up most of the night! And no... we didn't go out partying! We were celebrating Addison's first illness. "Illness" is putting it lightly! New Years Day, we had a 5 hour visit to the ER where they diagnosed Addison with RSV. She had a 102 temp, very runny nose, watery, red eyes, and so much more we have blocked out from memory. Poor thing!! I guess we were lucky to keep her healthy for so long (thanks to "Grammie-care"), but RSV hit her like a TON OF BRICKS! She is actually doing better than expected. She had a rough 2 days, but now is recovering with a cough every now and then, runny nose, and insomnia during the day! She has always been a great sleeper, so we'll have to see if that has ended!
I stayed home with her today, which turned out well because Grandma Lucas went into the hospital with shortness of breath on Sunday morning. So my parents spent most of the day there. I will return to work tomorrow and Addison will spend the day with Grammie and Papa. Addison is on a nebulizer/breathing treatment 4 times a day.
Please keep Grandma and Addison in your prayers for speedy recoveries!
Happy 2010!!

I don't usually wear the mask, but I was showing off for Grammie and Papa.
