Fun Memorial Weekend

When leaving Grammie and Papa's house, we saw a turtle crossing the road!
Thursday morning, we woke to ducks in our back yard!

Being silly on Thursday evening after dinner.

We went to the Southeastern Guide Dog Center on Saturday to pet the dogs.

Playing outside- chalk, scooter, bubbles...

...and running TOO fast. Poor thing.

We had a wonderfully relaxing Memorial Day. We started out at First Watch downtown for breakfast, then enjoyed the parade!

We had a perfectly shady spot to watch the parade.

Looking for the parade

Here it comes!!

Aunt Chick and Uncle Bruce had a float in the parade! Aunt Nel and Uncle Tim were riding on it. Here it comes!!!

Aunt Chick is driving the truck.

Hi Uncle Bruce!!

Hi Uncle Tim!!

The float wasn't moving that fast, but it was just fast enough that all my pictures came out blurry, too close and I didn't get a good one of the float! Uncle Tim and Aunt Nel gave Addison BEADS and more flags!! So fun!!

Storm troopers?!?!

Addison found it very funny that one storm trooper was clean and one was dirty!

Loved this banner.

These beautiful horses were one of the highlights for Addison!!

Our Alma Mater... Sarasota High School Sailor Band playing Anchors Aweigh! It was tempting to go out and do my old cheerleading routine!! It sure brought back memories!

Another highlight for Addison- she loved the firetrucks and ambulances! They were HUGE firetrucks!
These motorcycles were SO LOUD and we were very close.

Afterwards, we caught up with Aunt Nel and Uncle Tim. We also saw Great Grandma Lucas, Uncle Tom and Janet! It was such a fun day of seeing lots of family... and friends in the parade!!

We went to Grammie and Papa's for an afternoon of swimming, yummy food and relaxing!

Addison decided to help herself to some water... about 10 times! Guess that's one good way for her to drink lots of water on a hot day!
Dessert time! Addison chose chocolate chip ice cream over strawberry pie.

Straddle jumping her puzzles!! She directed each of us to do it... no pictures necessary!!
